Diversity in WIC

Diversity in WIC (DiWIC) is a community dedicated to empowering underrepresented minority groups pursuing careers in finance through connection, advocacy, and mentorship. The diversity initiative originally started as Women in WIC (WiWIC), formally launched in 2019 to create opportunities for women within finance to develop and learn professionally. In 2024, the group was expanded to foster community to broader diverse groups.

Diversity in WIC Events

Diversity in WIC aims to foster a welcoming environment for all minorities and underrepresented students in the finance community at Western. This organization provides a support system for members, connects members with mentors, and shares various diversity-related opportunities throughout the year. Events throughout the year include DiWIC Fireside Chats, DiWIC Mentorship Program, and DiWIC Socials.

Women in WIC Fireside Chat

The Women in WIC Fireside Chat is a fantastic opportunity to learn from our speakers as they share their experiences as women in the financial industry.

Women in WIC Researcher Social

WiWIC’s researcher social serves as a unique opportunity for women and non-binary individuals to meet fellow researchers and network with female members of the analyst team.

Diversity in WIC Team

Our team is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment within WIC. Through initiatives like DiWIC, we empower underrepresented groups pursuing careers in finance by championing connection, mentorship, and advocacy.
